“Zlatah the Goat” by “Isaac bashevis singer” is an interesting story that talks about a boy that is forced to sell the goat, Zlateh that lived and grew up with his family for twelve years for there was a poor harvest and the peasants complained.
“Aaron” the little boy began the journey, but suddenly the weather changed and Aaron and Zlatah were astray, so he searched for a shelter and stayed in it for three days until the blizzard stopped. Then he returned back to his home and never sold Zlatah.I liked this story a lot because the main character Aron proved himself by staying alive and not giving up on himself and the goat during that harsh conflict with nature. He was smart enough to find a shelter which kept them safe and warm during that mighty blizzard. He was also loyal since he didn’t sell the goat that fed him during those harsh three days of entrapment inside the haystack and because he acted like a responsible adult despite his young age.

From the Pigman and Me
The story from The Pig Man and Me for Paul Zindel is a very interesting story that entertains the reader, teaches him a lesson and gives him advice.
When I took the story and turned its pages I thought of it as a boring story and I just wanted to read it and get rid of it. But when I started to read it I couldn’t stop, and I went on and on and on till the end. I felt very attracted to the story because it made me remember a lot of berserk things I did when I moved to a new school and a new environment, and I always wanted to know if I handled the problems in a good way and this story gave me the answer. Like the simplest thing, when I was asked to join the basket ball game with a group of girls. I didn’t know the rules of the game end they started to pass me the ball to score points but I didn’t know how to move my legs hands and even my eyes so we ended loosing the game and every one in the team turned against me, and at this point I felt the same way Paul felt when he got into a problem because he didn’t know the rules, so I proved to everyone I could play if I know the rules and we won the next game.I even felt entertained especially when Nonno Frankie gave Paul the fight advices, like to yell like Tarzan… and I took some of the advice that Nonno Frankie gave Paul for his life that may be useful like to be observant, open minded and to only have positive thoughts in your heart. I liked the part when Paul’s sister defends him because she is just like my sister who defended me a lot when I was in hard situations. The fight was interesting too. And Nonno Frankie had a very special personality because the way he gave advice was like old people and their historical stories.
